CNN: Comey 'Expected to Refute' Trump

■ The claim
Citing sources, CNN reported that James Comey would dispute Trump's claim that Comey had told him he was not under investigation.
■ What actually happened
On June 6, 2017, CNN reported, citing unnamed sources, that Comey's testimony would contradict Trump's account. The next day Comey released his prepared statement. It confirmed he had told Trump on three occasions that he was not personally under investigation. CNN corrected the story and revised its headline and text.
■ The proof
Comey's written opening statement to the Senate Intelligence Committee (June 7, 2017) confirmed the assurances, and CNN added a correction.
